Mallorca now has even more to offer: a brand new ferry connection with France. From April 10, a weekly ferry will connect Port d'Alcúdia on Mallorca with the charming southern French port city of Sète, often referred to as the Venice of France. This development is good news not only for travelers, but also for property owners on Mallorca.
A bridge to the most beautiful island in the world
The new service, offered by Corsica Ferries, creates a direct route between two of Europe's most picturesque regions. Sète, with its picturesque canals and proximity to Montpellier, and Mallorca, with its idyllic beaches and rich culture, are now more easily accessible. This not only opens up new, more flexible travel opportunities for property owners in Mallorca, but also strengthens cultural and economic ties between the regions.
More than just an itinerary
The ferry connection is not only a practical travel option, but also a symbol of the growing interconnectedness of the Mediterranean regions. With tickets starting at around 80 euros per person, this new route is an attractive alternative to air travel, especially for those who prefer a more relaxed journey or want to take dogs or cats with them, for example.
In addition, the existing connection between Port d'Alcúdia and Toulon will be maintained, further increasing the variety of travel options between Mallorca and France. The announcement of a possible new route to Corsica only reinforces Corsica Ferries' commitment to connecting the Mediterranean regions and Mallorca even more closely.
